A new bell for peace and freedom at the cathedral of Bayeux

 

 

As part of the 70th anniversary of the Allied Landing wich will be celebrated in 2014, the diocese of Bayeux launches a project of creation of a new bell (Mi3 – 1100 kg – peal bell) for Bayeux cathedral. The diocese wishes to engrave in bronze, at the very heart of the cathedral spared from the conflict, the memory of the liberation of France and Europe in 1944/1945.

 

This bell will sing peace and liberty regained, as a project to be built for the world.
